Description: I found this silver brooch metal detecting about 18 years ago and haven't done much research in to it. I'm not even sure if it is silver. it's a metal that I'm sure was in the ground for a long time and has lots of detail. A pin that has been used for this brooch has rusted away on the side of it that's also why im thinking its a brooch, it may not be. I'm not sure of the exact location it was found but it was the Sefton area of merseyside. I've thought it could be Anglo Saxon but I could be completely wrong. Thanks in advance for any information.
