Description: Found in ferndale California during a clean out of a retired butcher's garage . Brass weighted ball that has metal rod thru the middle the rod is about 20 " long. The brass ball is weighted and has chains attached to it . The chains lace thru a cap piece that hAngs from something . Also found with it a brass hanging item about 14 " wide resembles a hanging lamp . The end of the metal rod also has a cap piece . I think it's some kind of hanging lamp ??? The thing looks at first like a toilet float . What is it?
