Description: Does anyone know what this is? My dad says it’s been in the family for at least 400 years (I don’t know if this is accurate). He believes it’s from Scotland or Scandinavia where the family history is from. It is approximately 5” long, 1/4” around and weighs about the same as 2 AA batteries. It is hand forged metal and doesn’t rust. it has a Scottish thistle on the end and what look like rune markings on the handle.
Keywords: Antique, Renaissance, Middle Ages, Metal, Ancient, tool, Scotland, steel, iron
