Description: This frosted glass piece belonged to my grandmother or great-grandmother in Northern California, possibly 1880s to 1920?. It is about 14" across. On one side in the center is a raised square about 2 1/2" which is flat. I can't figure out what this is supposed to be or do. The square in the center does lie flat on a tabletop, but the rest of the glass weight will make it tip if you should put anything on top, so I don't think it's a platter. The square isn't really deep enough to be a handle either. No idea what this is. Thanks for any help.
