Description: I purchased this at an auction for 5$. It has been stained so I cannot tell what type of wood. It is heavy and has a stamped “187” under the top, below the base. Old screws and one lag bolt. I believe the sides and bottom have a veneer over the solid wood, given how the base is put together. I suspect this may be from the 1960’s or 1970’s. No discernible odor to the wood. Corners of the top are held by squiggle metal pieces? Can anyone point me in the right direction with regard to the type of wood, approximate age and maybe a manufacturer?i cleaned gently and the rag had reddish residue.
