Description: The chair belonged to my cousin's father. She is asking me for help identifying the chair and what she may be able to sell it for. As far as I can tell the chair is similar to an Indian style wedding chair (but they tend to come in sets, so maybe it was separated somehow). I came across information about low hand carved Indian chairs called piddi chairs, however, I see those chairs typically have legs that are representative of columns found in temples and have woven seats. My cousin said the chair was used as a prayer chair, but with the bells, I feel the chair may also be referred to as a meditation chair or stool. I am putting this picture out in hopes that someone may have a better guess for identifying this piece of furniture.
