Description: hello, my Father dug this up on a metal detecting trip at an old logging camp. I have spent hours finding nothing even closely resembling this. I thought at first it was a bolo tie cinch but it obviously is not after closer inspection. It appears to be made of maybe tarnished brass but it is bendable so could be copper although patina doesn't seem right for that? The bottom "hook" setup almost looks like a modern day item hanger like thing a bagged item with cardboard top would hang on on a store rack. First thing I have never been able to eventually identify on my own and I have been a picker for 20 years. Any help is greatly appreciated.
