I do know it is from Japan, the marking means it is Kutani hand painted and probably before the era of the city of "Tokyo" getting it's name. It is painted in beautiful camellia red flowers, no chips, cracks or breaks. Wooden base and wooden lid. It is about 12 inches tall in total. Keywords: Ginger Jar EDO-ERA
