I got these items in a box lot at an auction 10 years ago and could never figure out what they are if anything. The only thing that comes to mind is maybe an ashtray, but that doesn't seem right to me given the size and design. They look like they were poured into a mold. The only marking is the word Italy on the bottom of each one that looks like it was stamped by hand one letter at a time. They measure about 3" in diameter. They could just be something somebody created in their garage for all I know, but I have been curious all this time and ran across them the other day. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
