Description: This is a 39 3/4" hand carved stick my grandmother got in England I'm going to say 40-50 years ago. She thinks it's a church stick or tithing stick used to wake up people who nodded off in church. It's a dark wood. Heavy for how big it is. She assumes it's Australian in origin. It has a koala climbing up a tree, a kangaroo, a dog, and a bird of some sort carved into it. The end is a hand balled into a fist with a buckle around the wrist. Even the fingernails are carved into it. Any info. On this would be welcome it's been bugging me for a while and I can't find anything about it on the Internet.
